Domain Verification
Domain verification confirms that you own and control the domain you are configuring in eCourtDate. Verification is required before the domain becomes active.
TXT Verification (Recommended)
TXT verification is the recommended method for both email and web domains.
- In the Console, create your domain and copy the verification TXT record provided.
- Add the TXT record to your DNS provider. See DNS Records for provider-specific instructions.
- Wait for DNS propagation. Most changes propagate within a few minutes to 2 hours, though it can take up to 24 hours in some cases.
- Monitor the domain status in the Console. The domain should show "Active" status once verified.
Verification Timeout
Verification records expire if the domain is not verified within 7 days of creation. If your verification times out:
- Contact support at help@ecourtdate.com to request domain regeneration.
- After regeneration, re-add the new DNS records provided by the Console.
Status Checking
Monitor your domain status in the Console Domains section. Each domain displays its current verification state:
- Pending -- DNS records have not yet been detected
- Active -- domain is verified and operational
If your domain remains in a pending state for more than 24 hours, verify that the DNS records are correctly configured using an online DNS lookup tool.
