Infrastructure
eCourtDate is hosted entirely within AWS GovCloud (US), a physically isolated cloud environment designed to meet the security and compliance requirements of US government agencies.
Cloud Hosting
- AWS GovCloud (US): Isolated AWS regions operated by US persons on US soil
- FedRAMP High authorized: The underlying infrastructure holds a FedRAMP High Authorization to Operate
- US-only data residency: All customer data remains within the United States
- Dedicated infrastructure: Logically separated from commercial AWS regions
Regions and Data Residency
eCourtDate offers multiple deployment regions, all within AWS GovCloud (US). Agencies select a region during onboarding based on proximity and any jurisdiction-specific data residency requirements.
| Region | API Base URL | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| US East | us-east.api.ecourtdate.com | Eastern United States |
| US West | us-west.api.ecourtdate.com | Western United States |
| US South | us-south.api.ecourtdate.com | Southern United States |
| US Texas | us-texas.api.ecourtdate.com | Texas-specific deployment |
| Multi-Region | api.ecourtdate.com | Automatic geographic routing |
| Staging | staging.api.ecourtdate.com | Testing environment (simulated delivery) |
All regions operate within AWS GovCloud, ensuring data never leaves US-controlled infrastructure. See Environments for full details on each region.
For data residency requirements beyond the available regions, contact the eCourtDate team through the Help Center.
Network Security
Multiple layers of network security protect the platform:
- CloudFlare DDoS protection: Distributed denial-of-service mitigation at the network edge
- Web Application Firewall (WAF): CloudFlare WAF filters malicious requests before they reach the application
- HTTPS enforced: All API and application traffic requires HTTPS with TLS 1.2 or higher
- IP allowlisting: API clients can be restricted to specific IP addresses (see IP Allowlisting)
- Rate limiting: API rate limits protect against abuse (see Rate Limits)
Availability
- 99.95% uptime: Platform availability target
- Automated hourly backups: Data is backed up every hour within AWS GovCloud
- Multi-region deployment: Agencies can deploy across multiple US regions
- Status monitoring: Real-time platform status at status.ecourtdate.com
See Business Continuity for backup strategy, disaster recovery, and maintenance details.
Security Scanning
Automated security scanning runs against the platform to detect vulnerabilities:
- OWASP Top 10: Coverage for the most critical web application security risks
- CWE/SANS Top 25: Coverage for the most common and impactful software weaknesses
- CloudFlare WAF rules: Continuously updated rule sets to block known attack patterns
See Vulnerability Management for scanning, penetration testing, and patch management details.
Physical Security
eCourtDate relies on AWS GovCloud's physical security controls for data center protection.
